Philip Toms is a registered architect with the Ontario Association of Architects and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Philip's project experience is broad in scope and includes a large hotel/resort complex and several finely detailed residential projects. In all his projects, Philip brings a commitment to excellence that results in finely crafted buildings.
Prior to establishing Toms + McNally, Philip worked for several prominent architects in Ontario and was involved in the design of many award winning projects. He continues to collaborate with several firms and recently worked as a team member with Kongats Architects on the schematic design of two award winning projects, the Hespeler Library and the Terrence Donnelly Health Sciences Centre. Highlights of his previous work also include the Schulich School of Business (Hariri Pontarini Architects), and Canada One (HPA).
For the past ten years, Philip has operated his firm Philip Toms Architect providing exceptional design services and construction management for many of his projects.
Philip has been a guest lecturer at the University of Waterloo and has had his work exhibited in several shows including 20 x Twenty IV at the Queen's Quay gallery in Toronto. He was awarded the Raymore Medal as highest achiever in the Architectural Registration exams.
Philip is currently a member of the Hamilton Burlington Society of Architects and is active in the design community in Hamilton.

Graham McNally is a registered architect with the Ontario Association of Architects and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. In his work, Graham aims to combine high quality design, carefully crafted construction and playfulness in order to create projects that uplift occupants and users.
Prior to co-founding Toms + McNally design, Graham worked for several architects and design firms including DTAH, Prototype Design Lab, Invizij Architects and Garwood-Jones & Hanham Architects. At these various positions, Graham worked on a variety of projects including campus master plans, neighbourhood redevelopment plans, office interiors, recreation centres, and multi-unit residential buildings.
Recently, Graham was a driving force behind bringing Tactical Urbanism to Hamilton. This very successful initiative has resulted in numerous improvements across this city. Graham is continuing to work with the City with the goal of setting up a City wide interface for citizens to submit Tactical projects they want to see in their neighbourhood.
Graham is active in the Hamilton design community, currently acting as the treasurer of the Hamilton Burlington Society of Architects, and is a member of the Hamilton Hive Young Professionals Network.
Paula, senior staff architect at Toms + McNally Design, has a broad range of experience including the Waterdown Rotary Memorial Park Skate Path Pavilion, recreational facilities (Flamborough YMCA, Niagara West YMCA) and institutional projects (First Hamilton Christian Reformed Church, Centre de Santé Communautaire Hamilton/Niagara).
Paula is highly motivated and passionate architect that improves the work of Toms + McNally on a daily basis through her attention to detail and careful preparation of contract documents. Paula is also committed to the profession of Architecture and our community, currently serving on the Ontario Association of Architect’s Construction Contract Administration Committee. Paula has been an instructor at the Ryerson School of Interior Design and represented Flamborough on the City of Hamilton’s Waste Reduction Task Force.
